So this evening, at about 9:10 in the pm, I finally completed this thing to do! However, I am unsure of whether or not I'll fill out the form in my book just yet, because this is only on my garage wall, so its not like I'm going to get caught :PI created this stencil from a photo of the Wicked of the West. I edited in in photoshop to delete the background (no mean feat when I've only used it a couple of times ever), then changed it to black and white, then editing it so that only the darkest lines came out. And voila!
Traced it onto some card, spent forever cutting it out with scapels (broke the first one, and cut myself a couple of times) and then finally got to spray paint it!
However, its quite fuzzy around the edges. But thats ok, because its my practice run! Just need to make sure that it is flatter against the surface.
All very exciting though!
Joey said I should do it around town, he thinks I could get quite good at it and become famous :P
I'm doing this for my art panels this year, as Banksy is one of my artist models, and my theme is the Wizard of Oz. I'm getting quite excited about it all now! Wish me luck! Only 5 weeks left to do it all!
Looks great! I would definitely encourage you to spread it around and to become famous. Your art project sounds really interesting - I hope we'll get to see some of it on your blog.
